[edit] Quotes
- Tracy: If you get rich off this stuff, just take care of my family. I don't want my kids to have to go to college.
- Liz: I truly don't like you as a person. [inspirational music starts playing] Can't one human being not like another human being? Can't we all just not get along?
- Steven: Liz, I wish it could be like that... and maybe someday our children or our children's children will hate each other like that, but it just doesn't work that way today.
- Liz: So what you're saying is that any woman that doesn't like you is a racist.
- Steven: No, no, no, no, no. [music stops] Some women are gay.
[edit] Pop Culture
The riot at an awards show is a reference to the 2004 Vibe Awards, which was widely criticized when a brawl broke out in the audience.
Steve Black is introduced as being from the firm Dewey, Cheatham, and Livingston. This is an homage to Johnny Carson's favorite law firm, Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe.
[edit] Notes
The trucker hats Frank wears in this episode read "Coool As Ice" and "Time Travel Agent".
[edit] Reception
"It’s a very clever way of raising the issues of white guilt and black high dudgeon. And generally exposing some of the issues around racial tension in a fun way." - The TV Critic's Review
