Alan Garkel is a lawyer at GE. Garkel is played by Eric Dysart[1] in his first known acting role, in the episode "Cleveland." Though apparently disabled, it is heavily suggested in the epiode "Jack Gets in the Game," that Garkel is faking his condition to get ahead in life. Indeed, Garkel receives a promotion instead of Floyd, despite Jack's belief that the name Garkel is ridiculous.
